Terrachi is an immersive VR experience where the player is transported to a mythical floating island and performs Tai-chi inspired movements with the Vive hand controllers to interact with the world and it’s creature inhabitants. The world was beautifully brought to life by the Masters of Visualisation students at the UTS Animal Logic Academy in 2017. This project even picked up a “VR Game of the Year” at the international 2018 Rookies Awards.
As a post-doctoral research fellow at the Academy, Rollerchimp managed to squeeze in some time to make the 5 interleaved musical scores and spatialised sound design for the transformative VR experience, and was proud to be a part of the ALA Terrachi team.
